One of the many items of business that Roma will have to address in the coming weeks are resolving the futures of Edin Dzeko and Alessandro Florenzi – who share the same agent, Alessandro Lucci.
The latter left his boyhood club and joined French giants PSG late in the summer after not fitting into the plans of manager Paulo Fonseca. The 30 year-old has done well throughout his spell and has become a favorite of manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Ligue 1 outfit possess an option to make Florenzi’s loan move permanent for around €9 million, however, it remains to be seen if they plan to exercise it. Corriere dello Sport reports that Roma’s upper management, including General Director Tiago Pinto, aren’t factoring Florenzi into the club’s future plans.
Meanwhile, there are also question marks surrounding Edin Dzeko. The Bosnian experienced a difficult season after falling out with Fonseca and seeing a sharp decline in his goalscoring. However, few clubs can afford his €7.5 million in net wages, so a move elsewhere won’t be simple.
Roma want to purchase a new forward this summer and have already made inquiries for Torino’s Andrea Belotti and Frankfurt’s André Silva.
