Former Giallorossi midfielder Radja Nainggolan denied a rumored return to Roma as a free agent.
After concluding his spell in Serie B with SPAL, the Belgian international is still without a team.
As a result, some media reports claimed Nainggolan had offered himself to Roma, wanting to return to the club that made him shine as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the world.
In an interview with Caffettino podcast, Nainggolan clarified, “Roma never called back after I left the club in 2018.
“The truth is that Roma changed my life: I had everything I needed to be happy. I had a strong team, I earned good money, the fans loved me, I had a city where I could have fun the way I wanted to. And they didn’t bother me, they told me that I could do what I wanted off the pitch, as long as I gave my all when I played.”
“In Rome I found my dimension, then I went to Inter and they gave me sh*t about everything: from the club to the people. I didn’t feel comfortable there.”
