Former Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan recently visited the club’s training facilities and afterwards spoke to Il Messaggero to briefly preview Roma’s chances with Leicester City in the return leg of the Conference League semifinal.
“I’m very happy Roma are so close to a final. The city and the fans deserve success,” he said.
“It doesn’t matter whether it’s the Champions League or the Conference League, we need to get back to winning. Enough with the trophy draught.”
“Because,” he continued. “Not having won anything with Roma is my biggest regret. My Roma was fantastic, with personality and lots of quality. It was a shame.”
“Tomorrow Roma cannot think about defending. They need balance. This is not going to be some kind of feat.”
“Mkhitaryan’s absence is quite important. He’s got the quality to make that extra play that allows you to win. He can be devastating.”
