Radja Nainggolan reminisces about Spalletti’s Roma and Edin Dzeko

Former Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan – currently in search of a new team to join following his exclusion from Antwerp’s first team – was recently asked about Luciano Spalletti’s surprising tour de force with Napoli.

The Belgian international recalled their days of playing together in the Italian capital.

“I’m not surprised by how well he is doing with Napoli,” Nainggolan said of Spalletti in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Spalletti is one of the greatest managers working today, and I loved working with him. For the way he saw and interpreted football, he was the perfect manager for me.”

“Dzeko? He was the best attacker I’ve ever played with. He knows how to do everything and will adapt to any situation. I also want to mention my friend Juan Jesus: he may seem like a bench player, but with Spalletti he turns in brilliant performances.”
