Former Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan spoke highly of Roma’s new captain Lorenzo Pellegrini and the team’s ambitions under Jose Mourinho.
“Pellegrini and I had two greats like Totti and De Rossi who pushed you to give everything in every match. Pellegrini is important but he is still young and when on his own, it is not easy for him. Few players around him have that same sense of belonging,” Nainggolan said in an interview with Radio Romanista.
“Roma’s Conference League victory was a beautiful event and they deserved it. Roma still deserve to play in the Champions League, although they still lack the ability to dominate games through and through.”
