Raiola offers PSG’s Alphonse Areola to Roma

Following a €23.5 million move to the club last summer, Roma shot stopper Pau Lopez had a very up-and-down first season in the Italian capital, which has led to the club to considering other options in the role.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, yesterday there was a meeting staged in the Eternal City between super agent Mino Raiola and Roma CEO Guido Fienga.

Reportedly, Raiola proposed one of his clients, PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, to the Giallorossi during the meeting. The Frenchman spent last season on loan at Real Madrid but was limited to only three league appearances under manager Zinedine Zidane.

Areola, 27, has been linked to Roma in the past and given the inconsistent performances of Pau Lopez, he could be an option that Paulo Fonseca considers to replace the Spaniard.
