Nicolo Schira of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero is tempted by the name of the former Roma boss to replace Di Francesco, who has registered only one win in seven matches.
Sampdoria currently sit at the bottom of the table and are also considering other options such as Stefano Pioli and Beppe Iachini.
