Claudio Ranieri has reportedly asked Roma to target Cagliari full-back Gabriele Zappa.
The match against Napoli showed Roma’s deficiencies on the flanks, especially on the right where Zeki Celik is the starter.
Ranieri, therefore, has decided to intervene right away, in January.
According to Corriere della Sera, the Roma coach wants Zappa from Cagliari whom he worked with last year in Sardinia.
The newspaper suggests that Roma have begun making inquiries.
Zappa is today the first name on Roma’s shortlist.
