Claudio Ranieri is closer than ever to becoming the new manager of Sampdoria. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the parties are closing in on a two-year contract linked to avoiding relegation this season.
Ranieri expressed throughout summer that he was looking for the right fit in a club and was willing to listen to managerial offers both in Italy and abroad. The former Leicester City boss would be, once again, taking over for the sacked Eusebio Di Francesco, whom he also replaced at Roma in March. There are only minor economic details left to solve as Claudio Ranieri appears to have found a new home.
