Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini has emerged as a candidate to take over Roma’s bench next season.
Neither Ancelotti nor Allegri, the next Giallorossi coach could be Giampiero Gasperini.
Former Roma player Ubaldo Righetti – close friends with Allegri and numerous other personalities in the Italian footballing landscape – spoke to Radio Romanista about the possibility of seeing Gasperini as Roma’s next manager.
“Ranieri is working to bring Gasperini to Roma. The two share a great rapport,” he said.
“From my point of view, he is Roma’s first choice,” Righetti added. “Ranieri is working on it.”
