RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche: “We aren’t close to a deal for Schick”.

Patrik Schick is closing in on a move to Bayer Leverkusen, but RB Leipzig haven’t given up their hope in acquiring the player permanently.

Markus Krösche, the sporting director of RB Leipzig, spoke to the German media about the situation of the Czech attacker, “Our goal is to confirm both Schick and Angelino”.

”Right now, though, we are closer to an agreement with Manchester City than with Roma (for Schick). In any case, we can already count on the high-level players in our squad,” he said via Kicker.

After having sold Kai Havertz to Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen are pursuing Schick as a replacement for the German.
