Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini addressed the media earlier today to preview the upcoming return leg with Roma in Seville on Thursday night.
“I didn’t expect us to have as many points as we do because the group is very compact,” Pellegrini told reporters. “We have the opportunity to qualify while playing at home. But it will be a tough game just like the first leg in Rome.”
“We want to qualify as soon as possible and not risk coming in second, which would basically mean having to play two extra games,” he added.
“Tomorrow I expect to face the same Roma we faced last week. Like all of Mourinho’s teams, they are intense and can hurt you on counter-attacks.”
“Dybala? Losing players like him certainly can have an impact on the rest of the team. But Roma’s roster doesn’t solely depend on one player. I am sure they will find a valid substitute to replace him.”
“We lost Fekir, but you won’t see us use it as an excuse,” Pellegrini concluded.
