Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini was asked about his team’s mindset entering Thursday’s Europa League clash versus Ludogorets.
The Spanish side have already clinched their place into the next round and sit atop the group with ten points. They travel to Bulgaria to face second-placed Ludogorets, who sit three points ahead of third-placed Roma.
“Tomorrow we’ll face a Ludogorets team that’s eager to qualify and finish top of the group,” Pellegrini told the media during his pre-match press conference.
“They’re a tough team with a lot of good players in their squad. Let’s remember they’ve already defeated Roma in this competition.”
Adding, “Roma? I haven’t been in contact with anyone from the club. Whether or not they qualify to the next round is entirely on them. If they win their final two games they’ll qualify.”
“I don’t think the result in our match tomorrow will be of any concern for them.”
