The future of Antonio Sanabria continues to be a hot topic. The youngster, who is currently with Real Betis, moved to the Spanish side in the summer of 2016 on a permanent transfer, however, the Giallorossi would have the option to repurchase the player for three straight consecutive summers. There has been much talk surrounding Roma’s options to repurchase the player, as many outlets in Spain have reported Real Betis will ultimately have the final say, while Italian outlets, including an exclusive report from RomaPress, reported Roma still have full control should they decide to exercise their repurchase options.

Today, though, Betis Vice President, Lorenzo Serra Ferrer, spoke to Radio Marca and discussed the player’s future:

“Betis has the option to make a counter-offer that would cancel out Roma’s (repurchase) option, but they have not said anything yet. Tony needs affection and motivation to demonstrate all of his talent. Monchi? We haven’t heard from him.”
