Following today’s Europa League which will see the Giallorossi face Real Sociedad in the round of 16 playoffs, the Spanish side’s vice president, Mikel Ubarretxena, expressed his thoughts on the draw.
“I certainly don’t discover who Roma are and what kind of manager Mourinho is today,” Ubarretxena reacted in an interview with Movistar TV.
“I see it as an open challenge, I’m optimistic, they are third in the league just like us. We will have good chances. We are recovering some players, Oyarzabal’s presence will be important for us. I hope we will have the full squad available for both legs.”
“There were no simple draws, but of course we didn’t want Manchester United. Roma are still rivals within a top tier group of teams.”
