Real Sociedad attacker Takefusa Kubo spoke at today’s press conference in anticipation of Thursday night’s return leg with Roma in San Sebastian.
The Spanish side will look to make a comeback after going down 0-2 in the first leg in Rome.
Kubo discussed his desire to put in a historical performance on Thursday.
“If they succeeded, why shouldn’t we be able to do it? We had our chances in Italy too, but we didn’t manage to score and they did. If we play better in the second leg, we have a better chance to come back.”
“I want to be part of the club’s history, to come back from 2-0 and be talked about in 10 years. I want to be part of the team that came from behind against Roma, beat them and reached the quarter-finals. And if it happens thanks to a goal of mine, so much the better.”
