Referee Daniele Chiffi suspended by AIA following Milan-Roma

Another refereeing controversy sparked following the controversial display in last night’s showdown at the San Siro between Milan and Roma.

Referee Daniele Chiffi, whose dubious and inconsistent calls were questioned by Jose Mourinho and Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the final whistle, will see no action in the upcoming weekend.

The referee has been excluded from refereeing duties this weekend by the Italian Referees Association.

Chiffi finished last night’s job with two penalties given to Milan, two red cards for the Giallorossi and eight yellow cards in total.
