Renato Sanches is still out after suffering a muscle injury during Roma’s training session around a week ago.
The Portuguese midfielder featured in the final minutes of Roma’s first match of the season and was afterwards ruled out for the next two games which the Giallorossi subsequently lost.
According to Il Messaggero, Sanches is expected to continue training individually at Trigoria during the international break before being reintegrated with the rest of the team.
Roma are aware of his injury history and prefer not to rush him. However, Sanches is still expected to recover in time for the match against Empoli on 17 September.
