Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches is getting ready to finally begin his Roma adventure at the peak of his fitness levels.
After playing a mere 139 minutes since having joined the Giallorossi in the summer, Sanches is reportedly set to be reintegrated into Roma’s starting line-up.
According to Il Tempo, Mourinho’s original vision was to have Sanches regularly feature in the team’s starting formation. However, injuries prevented the Portuguese international to develop any sort of consistency in his performances.
Now that is back from injury and having appeared in Roma’s recent games off the bench, Sanches is aiming to carve out some space in Mourinho’s line-up.
The newspaper claims that Edoardo Bove could be move to the bench, with Sanches slotting into the midfield alongside Leandro Paredes and Lorenzo Pellegrini (also back from injury).
