Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches picked up a minor injury in Thursday’s training session.
Only two days before Roma’s trip to the Bentegodi in Verona, Sanches was forced to quit training before everyone else due to a muscular issue.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the midfielder underwent tests at Roma’s medical facilities and Villa Stuart which confirmed a muscular injury that could potentially sideline him for a couple of weeks.
The Italian newspaper claims that in all likelihood Sanches will remain out in the upcoming games with Hellas Verona and Milan, and should return after the break in the match against Empoli on 17 September.
