Roma are looking to interrupt Renato Sanches’ loan from PSG.
However, the situation is more complicated than the capital club initially expected as the Portuguese midfielder has reportedly rejected all offers from abroad.
PSG’s attempts to find Sanches a new club to join in January have so far been unsuccessful.
Besiktas’ interest never materialized in a concrete offer and this could represent a major problem for Roma in their incoming transfer plans.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma have had to halt their pursuit of Empoli midfielder Tommaso Baldanzi.
Without Sanches’ exit, Roma cannot afford to another midfielder to their roster.
