Roma are hoping to have Renato Sanches back from injury after the international break.

Following an initial injury suffered in training, the Portuguese midfielder hurt himself in the match against Sheriff Tiraspol and missed a month of action due to it.

Tests revealed that the injury could have easily been avoided and to an extent was not as serious as the player himself feared.

According to Corriere dello Sport, fear is playing a major part Renato Sanches’ career. The midfielder is reluctant to take unnecessary risks as he remains afraid of worsening his condition.

The newspaper claims Mourinho and his staff have been working on a new recovery procedure which will allow Sanches to smoothly transition between contributing off the bench and featuring in the team’s starting eleven.

Sanches is expected to recover for the upcoming match with Monza.
