Renato Sanches, Tommaso Baldanzi to be called up versus Cagliari

Andy Mattioli

Roma are only two days away from facing Claudio Ranieri’s Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The Giallorossi will seek to further improve their league record after picking up two wins in their two last games with Hellas Verona and Salernitana.

According to Il Tempo, Renato Sanches will finally be called up after missing over a month of action due to an ankle injury. The Portuguese midfielder is regularly involved in group training and seems to have shown promising things.

Moreover, Roma’s latest signing, Tommaso Baldanzi, will also be on the bench on Monday.

In the meantime, Chris Smalling is reportedly looking to return to De Rossi’s disposal for the match against Inter Milan on 10 February.
