Corriere dello Sport have reported that in recent days there was a meeting between the entourage of Florenzi and Monchi regarding the renewal of the Italian international.
The sides have been in talks for some time now, however, the final agreement is still missing. Reportedly, Florenzi is in no rush because he understands time is on his side. Florenzi’s contract expires in 15 months, however, he is remaining calm as his agent will try and bridge the gap between supply and demand with Monchi. Florenzi currently earns nearly €2 million (net) per season and is one of the lowest paid first choice players on the team, his new wages demands are nearly double, although, there is motivation from both parties to find an agreement.
