Whispers from France claim Rennes have set their sights on Roma midfielder Nemanja Matic.
According to L’Equipe, Nemanja Matic – fresh off a contract extension with Roma – is being targeted by Rennes.
The Ligue 1 side are in fact finalizing the sale of Lesley Ugochukwu to Chelsea and, therefore, are in need of a replacement.
Matic represents the ideal fit for Rennes given his veteran status.
The newspaper also reports that ex-Milan man Tiemoue Bakayoko is also being considered as an alternative to Matic who is unlikely to depart Roma anytime soon.
