Report: Benatia wants Roma

A report today from La Repubblica claims Roma have taken concrete steps to being Medhi Benatia back to the club.

One of the objectives for Luciano Spalletti has become Mehdi Benatia. The defender spent this past weekend in Rome in part due to an international tennis event, however, he didn’t return only as a tourist. Benatia wants to return to play in the capital and is willing to accept a deal worth roughly €4 million per season. There has already been contact between Trigoria and one of Benatia’s agents. Bayern is willing to sell the player and could find a deal with Roma. The potential deal? An interest-bearing loan with an option to buy next summer.

Benatia still owns a home in Rome and is ready to return: he wants Roma…again.
