Report: Conte wary of Pallotta

La Repubblica have reported that Antonio Conte, who has become the social point of Roma’s managerial search, has some trepidations in joining the Giallorossi due to president James Pallotta. Reportedly, Conte is wary of the American’s past history with how he has expressed himself and his way of managing his former colleagues, which is why his eyes have wandered towards Inter in recent hours. The ex-Chelsea boss is flattered by the obsession of Roma’s supporters to bring him to the capital and the enormous expectations that would be in place should he arrived. A final decision from Conte could even arrive next week. Furthermore, the club have always maintained there has never been interest in Jose Mourinho.
