Report: Friction between Spalletti and Pallotta

John Solano

La Repubblica has reported today that there is some friction between Roma manager Luciano Spalletti and James Pallotta.

Reportedly, the two sides’ annoyance all boils down to the transfer market of the summer. Spalletti was and remains dissatisfied with the market made by Roma while Pallotta & Co. are annoyed with Spalletti’s refusal to play a handful of the new purchases such as Alisson, Gerson, and Juan Jesus. Pallotta is especially annoyed with Spalletti’s constant excuses for refusing to play Gerson, a player who the club has invested €17 million in.

The problems also circulate towards Sabatini: who will leave the club soon (perhaps even early as next week) and he will hold a farewell press conference to express his intentions.
