Roma will have to finalize their selection of a sporting director before the start of the summer transfer window, but Gian Piero Gasperini has already begun discussions with the club on several fronts.

One of the signings Roma will definitely need to make is the attacking midfielder, and in recent weeks, several names have been linked to the Giallorossi.

According to Te la do io Tokyo, the Piedmontese coach has a dream for that position: Mason Greenwood.

Relations between Roma and Marseille are excellent. Just in January, the Giallorossi landed Vaz from the French club.

This season, Greenwood has been one of the best players in Ligue 1 for Marseille: in 44 games across all competitions, he’s scored 26 goals and provided 10 assists.

To complete such a deal, however, the club may be forced to sell one of Gasperini’s key players.

In recent weeks, one of the likely names to leave Trigoria is Matias Soulé, who is highly sought after by Aston Villa and Tiago Pinto’s Bournemouth.

The club will wait for an offer and evaluate its course of action. If the Argentine were to leave, the Giallorossi would then move for the 2001-born English winger, who is valued at around €50 million.
