The latest report by Il Messaggero has linked Real Betis boss Manuel Pellegrini with a move to Roma ahead of next season.

Today’s edition of the Italian newspaper claims ex-Man City coach and current Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini was seen in Rome during the weekend and even attended the Derby della Capitale at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.

Moreover, Pellegrini is said to have held a meeting with the Friedkins.

The American owners of the capital club reportedly discussed their future plans with Pellegrini who traded his own ideas in return.

The report suggests Roma are seriously considering Pellegrini as an option for next season given the uncertain future of Daniele De Rossi who in the meantime is fighting with his men to qualify for the Champions League.

The Friedkins and De Rossi are expected to discuss their future plans within the coming weeks.
