English journalist Simon Johnson of The Athletic has reported that out-of-contract Chelsea attacker, Pedro, is unwilling to finish the season with the Blues because he has agreed terms with the Giallorossi to play for them in 2020-21 and does not want to put the move at risk.
The former Barcelona forward’s current contract at Chelsea runs out at the end of this month, but the London-based side has, reportedly, been unable to convince him to accept a short-term contract.
The Spaniard does not want to sign anything with Chelsea and is reluctant to play for the club again for fear of picking up an injury and missing out on a payday worth £2.9 (€3.3 million) million a year in the Italian capital.
The Giallorossi have been pursuing the former Barcelona man since January and appear to have won the race for his services.
