Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi is set to depart the club less than one year after being appointed.
After his falling out with club president James Pallotta last week over an interview the latter conducted, La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that the club has decided to suspend Petrachi due to his behavior.
Over the last few days, Petrachi has, reportedly, continued to lobby grievances and accusations against the club, which has left Roma’s management team with no other choice than to suspend him.
It’s possible that Petrachi could return to his role, but this decision taken by the club appears to be the beginning of a divorce.
Vice sporting director Morgan De Sanctis is set to be promoted to sporting director and he will be aided by trusted Roma adviser Franco Baldini, who continues to play a significant role in the Giallorossi’s transfer market.
