Report: Roma contact with Chelsea’s Maurizio Sarri

With his future at Chelsea in the balance, Maurizio Sarri could be a name to potentially replace Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco.

As reported by Il Tempo, Roma advisor Franco Baldini met with Sarri in London a few weeks ago. In England, Sarri is, reportedly, nearing a dismissal from the Blues and the Tuscan would not mind returning to Italy. However, there are certain variables to be considered, including the possible goodbye of Monchi, who could take the full responsibility of a season gone wrong, though there is time to fix this.

La Reppublica also confirms that Baldini met with Sarri over dinner and that the ex-Empoli manager could be the heir to Eusebio Di Francesco, who’s likely to leave.
