Report: Roma could consider maxi offers for Lorenzo Pellegrini

Andy Mattioli

Lorenzo Pellegrini is – like many other players on Roma’s roster – not untouchable ahead of a summer window that will see the Giallorossi once again forced to comply with Financial Fair Play constraints.

As confirmed by Daniele Longo of, Roma will have to generate around €40 million in revenue by the end of June and are therefore unable to guarantee the long-term future of its most prized players including Pellegrini.

The captain’s rebirth under Daniele De Rossi has not gone unnoticed around Europe and his market value has risen in recent weeks, with Roma reportedly fixing a minimum pricetag of €50 million.

The club are unlikely to be easily satisfied as Pellegrini constitutes the heart and soul of the team and – especially with De Rossi becoming the Giallorossi’s long-term head coach – would hardly accept a move elsewhere.

In the coming weeks, Roma are expected to make important considerations in order to fulfill UEFA’s parameters for the summer.
