Today’s edition of Il Corriere dello Sport has reported that Roma are interested in Zenit midfielder Axel Witsel and Dinamo Kiev defender Aleksandar Dragovic.

On the midfielder, it is reported that Luciano Spalletti would like to reunite with the Belgian, whom he managed in Russia. Reportedly, Witsel has already informed Zenit he will not sign a new contract with them after his current one expires in 2017. Why? He wants to play in a more competitive league. It’s possible that Roma offer Leandro Paredes into any potential deal for Witsel as Spalletti attempts to reunited with the Belgian.

As for Dragovic, the Austrian has been tabbed as a potential replacement should Antonio Rüdiger be sold for a “plusvalenza”. Yesterday, the player’s manager confirmed that “…there is an Italian club interested” in his client. Sabatini has always admired the player and has been tracking him for several years. The potential deal? A loan with an option to buy for €10 million.
