Roma are focused on adding another midfielder to their squad as the transfer deadline edges closer.

With Tammy Abraham and Edoardo Bove possibly gone in the next hours, Roma will likely shift their attention to securing Manu Koné from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

According to Retesport, Koné – an explicit request by De Rossi – is very close to Roma.

In fact, the news portal’s latest report on the situation suggests that Roma have reached an agreement with Gladbach for Koné’s transfer.

The player already has an agreement with Milan – who are also in the race – but is keen on the move to Roma.

Further developments are to follow in the coming hours.
