Report: Totti to reject Technical Director role, to hold press conference on Monday

Corriere dello Sport has reported that Francesco Totti has decided to reject Roma’s proposal to become the new Technical Director. Reportedly, the ex-captain has become annoyed at his lack of influence and sees no reason to stay. In fact, Totti is set to hold a press conference on Monday to explain his reasoning behind the decision. The number 10 seems so convinced that CONI (The Italian National Olympic Committee) have been alerted that a press conference may take place at the Foro Italico Hall or the Stadio Olimpico, which is managed by CONI.

Giovanni Malago, CONI president and friend of Totti, addressed this rumor with Ansa: ”If he wants to give a speech, nobody will prevent him from doing so. We’re available for him”.

After De Rossi, Francesco Totti also looks set to go through the exit door of Trigoria.
