Today’s edition of La Repubblica has reported that the market of Roma has already started for next season. The first priorities? Two new fullbacks.
The Giallorossi will restart with two brand new fullbacks next season, both right and left. In fact, the club already has their first reninforcement on a free transfer: it’s Gregory van der Wiel of PSG, who close to joining Roma four years ago but will now come for free thanks to his agent Mino Raiola. The player, as per his Instagram, was in Rome two weeks ago and held talks with the club. Reportedly, there is an agreement between the club and player on personal terms. The costly alternative to the Dutxchman is Mario Gaspar of Villarreal, who would cost €12 million.
On the left, everything depends on Digne: the option to buy from PSG is just under €20 million, which Roma deem excessive. With the same amount of money, the report claims that Jose Gaya of Valencia could be bought.
