Tammy Abraham’s future at Roma remains uncertain as the striker continues his lengthy recovery from a torn ACL.

In recent days, Abraham was once again linked with a return to the Premier League.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 26-year-old had been very close to a return to England prior to his injury on the last matchday of the season in June.

The newspaper claims Everton were very close to agreeing a deal for Abraham worth around €40 million (the fee Roma were looking to earn this past summer).

Now, his future is a big question mark as the player is yet to demonstrate his post-recovery form.

Moreover, Roma seem intent on making Romelu Lukaku’s stay permanent, which would inevitably push Abraham out of the club by the end of this season.
