Roma’s Bryan Reynolds will not be participating in the upcoming CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament with the United States U23 men’s national team.

The 19 year-old was included in the preliminary list of 48 players by manager Jason Kreis for next month’s competition. However, Reynolds has decided not to participate in the tournament and will remain in Italy.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Reynolds requested permission to forego the tournament in order to continue training with Roma. He finally made his long awaited debut for the club last Sunday in Roma’s 2-0 loss to Parma.

Reynolds played thirty minutes in the defeat and is hoping to build upon his first appearance.
