Riccardo Calafiori’s future remains uncertain as the Italian fullback ponders a switch to Serie B after an unsuccessful loan spell at Genoa caused to fall further back in Mourinho’s pecking order. The player was recently excluded from the club’s plans going forward and his entourage is now looking for suitable destinations.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Calafiori is now willing to consider a proposal he recently received from Serie B club Frosinone who are aiming for promotion this year. The 20-year-old is tempted by the offer and – given that the transfer deadline is only four days away – may soon choose to accept it.
Roma are pushing for Calafiori to exit the club on a permanent basis after the player rejected proposals from Cremonese earlier in the summer.
