Former Roma fullback Riccardo Calafiori – who joined Swiss side Basel on a permanent deal from the capital club in the summer – spoke about his rapport with Jose Mourinho and Roma legend Daniele De Rossi during his years with the Giallorossi.
“I have fond memories of our brief time together,” Calafiori said in a recent interview with Sky Sport.
“De Rossi? He went from being my idol to being like an older brother to me. He took me under his wing and every time I have a dilemma I call him up.”
“I think he was born to become a coach because he behaved like one even as a player.”
