Following Davide Frattesi’s transfer to Inter, Roma are poised to capitalise on another transaction, courtesy of a sell-on clause tied to one of their former players.
Riccardo Marchizza, a former Giallorossi youth product, is nearing a permanent move from Sassuolo to Frosinone, worth a total fee of €6 million. The defender is expected to finalise his move in the coming days and sign a three-year contract with the recently promoted club.
Consequently, Roma stands to gain €3 million, equating to 50% of the transfer fee, owing to the inclusion of a resale clause when the defender originally joined Sassuolo in July 2017.
