Roma youngster Riccardo Pagano discussed his first impressions from the team’s preseason in Portugal.
The Primavera midfielder was recently included with the first team ahead of their training camp in Algarve and is expected to earn consistent minutes this season while playing for the first team.
“It’s a beautiful feeling to be here, I try to steal some secrets from my teammates,” Pagano told Il Messaggero. “I steal with my eyes. It’s all going really well.”
“I try to keep a free mind and not worry about making mistakes. That’s how I can give my best. I listen to Mourinho. He allows us to play freely,” Pagano added.
“Mourinho? He doesn’t say anything in particular to me. He’s always urging me to be myself.”
“Being promoted to the first team was something I had hoped for all along. I’m really happy, and I would like to stay here. I think that would be the best way to grow for me as a player.”
