Riccardo Pagano leaves Roma’s Primavera team: “I will never forget you, I will miss you.”

Roma Primavera midfielder Riccardo Pagano recently concluded his spell with the Giallorossi youth team.

The number 10 was one of the players to come out defeated following the lost Scudetto final against Sassuolo.

In a recent post on Instagram, Pagano bid farewell to the Primavera as he prepares to find his first senior contract as a first team player.

“I’ve been trying to find the right words these days,” wrote Pagano, “but it’s always difficult to say something in moments like these.”

“I wanted to start by telling all my teammates that I am proud of all of you, you are fantastic as players but above all as kids, we have always been a family, especially in those difficult moments that we went through during the season.”

“We cried with joy for the unforgettable moments such as the victory of the Coppa Italia and the Super Cup, but there were many more tears we shed in recent days for the lost Scudetto final… but as always we all did it together.”

“Sport, like life, unfortunately, is how you win and lose, there are moments when you feel in heaven and others when you feel in hell and can’t find a way out. In moments like these you need to have the discipline and strength to work even harder and get back up to come back stronger than before…”

“My cycle with you unfortunately ends here, but I will never forget you, I will carry you in my heart for my whole life, you were my family and you will always be… I will miss you!”
