Roma wide man Rick Karsdorp attended today’s pre-match press conference to preview Thursday’s first Europa League fixture with Sheriff.
Earlier this afternoon, Karsdorp addressed the media alongside Roma boss Jose Mourinho.
“I love Roma,” he declared. “I love playing for this club. I’ve been here for almost seven years. Something happened in the past, but we must try to move forward. I have always been motivated to play here. I want to fight for this shirt.”
“My dispute with Mourinho? Things happen in football, it’s life. Sometimes they are good things, sometimes they’re bad. It’s in the past… we’re talking about last November. Now everything is ok with the coach, we have overcome the problems we faced.”
“I just want to play. I don’t want to say much about what happened. Let’s move on. I’m ready to play. I decided to stay in Rome, I have a contract until 2025, as I said before I want to fight for this club.”
“Two years ago we won the Conference and last year we reached the Europa League final. When you start a competition you always want to win. We play to win, the objective is to move forward and try to win the Europa League.”
“My knee is fine. I feel fine, I train every day. I’m ready to play and I just want to play a lot this season. It’s good to have many players in your position, it makes you stronger. The competition gives you motivation. There’s three of us but we are three different players. The coach will then choose who will play each time.”
