Roma full-back Rick Karsdorp sat alongside Jose Mourinho to preview Thursday night’s match against Vitesse in the Conference League. The former Feyenoord player was asked about Dutch football and life with Mourinho.
“I keep an eye out for the Eredivisie Vitesse have shown their worth against Tottenham and Stade Rennais,” said the Dutchman.
When asked about the Special One, he replied, “I like working with him. I’m playing a lot, and he’s always asking a lot from us at Trigoria.”
“The boss motivates you so much, and the last few games are proof of it.”
“Given our defeat in the Coppa Italia we must have the ambition to win the Conference League,” said Karsdorp when asked about the club’s ambitions. “We work every day to make it to the top four and go as far as possible in this competition.”
About his inconsistent form, he said “I think it’s only human to have ups and downs, it happens to me: we’re just not used to playing with so much continuity.”
He concluded, “Mourinho is the Special One on and off the pitch. He’s very demanding.”
