Dutch fullback Rick Karsdorp has been reportedly fined for not attending group training activities before the team’s trip to Japan.
The player’s relationship with Mourinho is yet to be mended, with Karsdorp still pushing to leave the Italian capital in the upcoming January window, reports La Repubblica.
The club did not take too kindly to the player first leaving Rome in favour of Amsterdam before the holidays given by Mourinho followed by a vacation in Thailand which the Giallorossi do not consider fitting given Karsdorp’s insistence regarding the ‘psychological issues’ he initially claimed to be dealing with.
Just like a few weeks ago, Karsdorp has been called up for Roma’s second mid-season training camp and is expected at Trigoria in the coming days.
General Manager Tiago Pinto has no intention of letting Karsdorp leave on loan: the Portuguese director will only consider permanent deals and wants to earn at least €10 million off the Dutchman’s sale.
