Rick Karsdorp talks about return: “I love this club.”

Roma fullback Rick Karsdorp is back at Jose Mourinho’s disposal for the upcoming Europa League fixture with Salzburg on Thursday night.

The Dutchman spoke to Roma TV ahead of the team’s trip to Austria. This marks the first time Karsdorp has spoken since the falling out with Jose Mourinho in early November which almost resulted in the player leaving the Italian capital.

“In the last two weeks I have had a problem with my knee, it was swollen and painful. But now I feel good, especially from a physical point of view. I worked a lot in the gym, even outside of here, on an individual level. I am happy to be back,” Karsdorp remarked.

“This is my sixth year here and I love playing for this club. The thing I want to say about the issues between me and the coach is that people like FIFPro and my lawyer were not speaking on my behalf,” he continued.

“People said things that are not true. I just want to play for this club and as I said before, I’m happy to be back.”
