Yesterday Roma were dealt yet another tough blow as Jose Mourinho’s team lost Rick Karsdorp to a serious injury. The Dutchman was diagnosed with a torn meniscus, which he suffered in the Europa League match with Helsinki on Thursday night.
Karsdorp is scheduled to undergo surgery at Roma’s trusted clinic in St. Moritz, Switzerland between today and tomorrow.
According to Il Messaggero, the Dutch fullback is likely to sit out for a period of 30-45 days.
Given that the first international break will take place throughout the next two weeks, Roma are more optimistic about Karsdorp’s recovery timeline.
